Recently, Meijer revamped its mPerks program. For saving on Disney trips, this is a very good thing!

mPerks now uses a points system instead of in-store credits. This helps keep the program more flexible for different types of shoppers. You can now redeem points for different rewards, such as in-store credit, fuel points or for free products.

By far, the best option is redeeming points for money off at their gas station. You can redeem 2,000 points, 5,000 points, and 10,000 points for $0.20/gal, $0.50/gal, and $1.00/gal off at the pump, respectively, up to 30 gallons in a single fill up. If you have multiple vehicles, fill them up at the same time and maximize your savings.

If you fill up multiple vehicles, do not hang up the pump until you are finished pumping your vehciles, as it finalizes the transaction.

mPerks Points for Gift Card Purchases?

Here’s how to do it!

First, create an mPerks account here. Once you create an account, log-in.

Next, click “mPerks” on the left-hand side of the bar.

This will take you to your dashboard of mPerks. Click on “Earn” in the center of the screen.

Here, you can see what mPerks point promotions are currently running. The promotion you will want to see is “Earn 5,000 mPerks points for every $50 you spend on select gift cards.” This means that for EACH $50 you spend, you will earn 5,000 mPerks points (Yes, you can earn 25,000 points on a single $250 purchase- you don’t need to separate into 5 $50 transactions)

Now, you don’t need to do anything on the mPerks screen, such as clipping coupons etc. This is just to verify that the promotion is running.

Next, go to your Meijer store and purchase a gift card of at least $50 and up to $250. Your 5,000-25,000 mPerks points will automatically be added to your account within 24 hours.

To redeem those points, click on the “Claim” tab in the dashboard.

Scroll down to the fuel denomination you want to redeem for, such as $0.20/gal-$1.00/gal. I usually redeem for 2 $1.00/gal and 1 $0.50/gal for my total of 25,000 points.

At the pump, enter in your phone number and your PIN number. The discount will be deducted from your price per gallon.

This means that on 3 fill ups at the pump, I would save $75 total

2 Fill Ups $1.00/gal=

30 gallons * $1.00 per gallon = $30 savings

If you so this twice, it’s $60 in savings

1 Fill Up $0.50/gal=

30 gallons * $0.50 per gallon= $15 savings

This is a 30% savings on a purchase I was already going to make!

Unfortunately, this deal is not redeemable in Wisconsin. However, you can redeem your points for in-store credit and use it towards many items. This is a great opportunity to use those points on airplane snacks, beach towels, travel items etc!
