Disney Trip Savings with 4x Fuel Points at Kroger

Kroger has been a go to place for me when I need to make a big purchase. If it’s for something I know I won’t want to return (Disney, Little Caesars, Movie tickets etc) I purchase a gift card instead of using my credit card to earn an easy kickback on my purchase. This has saved me a ton of money on my Disney vacations over the years.

Fuel Points can be redeemed at BP and Amoco gas stations across the country. Every 100 points = $0.10/gal off on a single fill, up to 35 gallons. The maximum you can redeem at one time is 1,000, or equivalent to $1.00/gal off.

I only purchase gift cards when Kroger runs their 4x Fuel Points promotion on purchases. Otherwise, it is only 2x Fuel Points.

For Example:

If you purchase a $250 Disney Gift card with the 4x Fuel Points offer, you will earn 1,000 fuel points, or $1.00/gal on a single fill, up to 35 gallons. We have two vehicles, so we fill up both vehicles on the same fill up. On average, that’s 34 gallons for us.

$1.00/gal off * 34 gallons= $34.00 in gas savings on a $250 Disney gift card. Not too shabby for a purchase I was already going to make!

Fuel Points for Gift Card Purchases?

Here's How to Do it:

First, your will want to make a Kroger account. You can do this by clicking on “Sign-in” button in the top right-hand corner, the “Create Account”

Next, click on “Digital Coupons” on the top bar. This will take you to the page where you can click digital coupons to your Kroger Account.

Scroll down to find the “4X FUEL POINTS ON GIFT CARDS” coupon and click “Clip” to add it to your Kroger Account

After making your account and clipping the coupon, head over to https://giftcards.kroger.com/ and log-in using the sign-in button in the top right corner. When you are logged in, you will see your name in the top right-hand corner.

Search “Disney” in the search bar. There will be many options that come up, including park ticket options. However, if you want gift cards, you will want to click on the red Disney Gift Card as pictured below.

To add the gift card to your cart, type in the amount you want to purchase, click “For Me” on the right-hand side, and then “Add to Cart”

To redeem your fuel points, all you need to do is enter in the phone number associated with your Kroger account at the fuel pump. Participating gas station brands vary depending on your Kroger Family Store location. In Wisconsin, Kroger has a partnership with BP and Amoco stations. However, we have noticed that in other areas of the country, Kroger has partnerships with Shell as well. Check with someone at your local store to verify which brand to redeem at.

Once you find a participating location, head to the station and enter in your  phone number prior to pumping fuel. It will prompt you to accept the discount, and the will drop your fuel prices prior to fueling.

Alternatively, if you have a Kroger store near you, you can clip the 4x Fuel Points Digital Coupon in the app and purchase a gift card in store. Don't forget to enter your phone number prior to checking out to ensure you receive your fuel points post-purchase.
