Few places on Earth can rival a Disney Theme Park when it comes to magical experiences! From meeting beloved characters, dining in the most magical of places, and riding remarkable attractions, there are plenty of photo opportunities to help you remember these moments even when you return from your trip. Amidst all the excitement, you are living in the moment! You may not be thinking “I need to find someone to take a picture with my phone!” Well, you are in luck because there's a special service that adds an extra touch of magic to your Disney adventure – the Disney PhotoPass.
What is Disney PhotoPass?
Disney PhotoPass is a service offered at Disney Theme Parks worldwide for guests. Specially trained photography cast members are strategically stationed at over 100 of the best locations across the Theme Parks. With professional quality cameras, guests can have these cast members take their photos.

What are the Benefits of Disney PhotoPass?
Professional Quality Photos: Say goodbye to blurry selfies – Disney PhotoPass cast members take professional-quality photos for you
Have Everyone from your Party in the Picture: No one gets left out of the photo! With Disney PhotoPass, the whole family be part of the memory, instead of one person being left out to take the photo.
It’s a Time-Saver: Instead of fumbling with your own camera or smartphone, let Disney's photographers take care of the work so you can continue to focus on enjoying your vacation.

How Do You Use Disney PhotoPass?
After guests have their pictures taken, the PhotoPass cast member can scan the guest’s park ticket/MagicBand and the photo will be uploaded to his/her MyDisneyExperience account. Guests without the Memory Maker add-on do not need to purchase the photos that are taken and can view the photos prior to deciding. These photos can be purchased individually.
Guests can also purchase an add-on service: Memory Maker (which we will explain shortly).
Photo Opportunities Are Everywhere: While you are enjoying your park day, make sure to watch for Disney PhotoPass photographers at popular locations, attractions, and character meet-and-greets. These are the best opportunities for great photos!
Disney PhotoPass Magic Shots:One feature of Disney PhotoPass that you won’t have while taking photos with your phone is the inclusion of "Magic Shots." With over 75 options at their disposal, cast members can use these CGI enhanced photos that incorporate a touch of Disney magic, like surprise characters in your photos and special effects.

How Do You Access PhotoPass Photos?
Linking Photos to Your MyDisneyExperience Account: As previous mentioned, at each photo post, a Disney PhotoPass cast member takes a picture, and then scans your MagicBand or park ticket to link the photo to your account. It’s that simple!
Accessing and Downloading Your Disney PhotoPass Photos: Once the photos have been linked, they can be viewed on your account from a computer or your phone. If you have Memory Maker service, you can download all the photos taken within 30 days of activation.
All DisneyPhoto Pass photos must be downloaded within 45 days of the date taken.
To access your photos on MyDisneyExperience, click on “MyDisneyExperience” in the upper right corner to open a drop-down menu. Click “My Photos.”
Here, you can see all of YOUR photos. Click the toggle in the upper right corner (see below) to toggle between you and linked friends on your MyDisneyExperience account.

Wait....What is Memory Maker?
Let’s take this “stress-free” thing to the next level. Instead of purchasing individual photos, guests can opt to add Memory Maker access to their park ticket. With Memory Maker, guests can pre-pay for an all-inclusive photo experience where every photo from their vacation is automatically linked with their MyDisneyExperience app and is theirs to keep.
There are a few different ways to purchase Memory Maker, so let’s dive in:
During and Post-Vacation Purchase ($210): If a guest purchases the Memory Maker service while on vacation, or after vacation, the charge is $210. This includes all the photos and videos on the MyDisneyExperience App that were taken 30 days prior to activation.
Advance Purchase ($185): If a guest purchases the Memory Maker 3 days or more in advance, the price drops to $185. When purchasing the advanced purchase option, all photos taken within 3 days of purchase will not be included
One-Day Memory Maker ($75): If a guest would like Memory Maker for 1 day only, the charge is $75.
All Memory Maker options are non-refundable.

Disney PhotoPass, and opting for the Memory Maker option, is not just a theme park photography service; it's a key to unlocking the magic of your Disney vacation! The ease of having your photo taken and immediately linked to your Disney account is incredibly stress-free. Plus, you have the peace of mind knowing that the photos will be professional quality.
So, the next time you find yourself immersed in the wonders of a Disney Park, let Disney PhotoPass be your friend. Capturing memories that will last a lifetime, while also being present in the moment with the ones you love, makes this service one of the best perks of the parks!

One way that Justice and I maximized on our Memory Maker option was around the time of our engagement. At the time, the Flower & Garden Festival was happening, so we were able to go from cast member to cast member and have photos taken at different areas of the park. One of our favorite photos ever taken was during this shoot, and when you compare it to the cost of a private engagement photoshoot outside the park, we ended up saving money in the long-run.
Our Engagement!

A cast member was also able to capture the special moment for us, so Justice didn’t have to worry!
